TOP FIVE COMEDY SHOWS 5/9/2023
Atlanta has one of the best comedy scenes in the world, and while VSP does not have shows every week, that doesn't mean something hilarious isn't happening in Atlanta. In fact, we compiled our list of the top five funniest shows this weekend. Check out any one of these for a great time, and be on the lookout for our next big event.
TOM PAPA: COMEDY TOUR
With more than 20 years as a stand-up comedian, Tom Papa is one of the top comedic voices in the country finding success as an author, in film, TV, radio and podcasts as well as on the live stage. Tom has four hour-long stand-up specials, the latest was a wildly successful Netflix Original. He also has two books, his own podcast, and a daily Netflix radio show, among many tv and film credits.
ROAD TRIP
Road Trip is a completely improvised show inspired by the famous "Armando" improv format. The show features a rotating cast of some of the best improvisers in Atlanta, as well as a dynamic, hilarious storyteller. Similar to a road trip where many stories are told, a featured storyteller will tell some personal stories and the improvisers will then perform hilarious scenes inspired by the true stories. Pack your bags for an adventure of a lifetime! Every show is a different, wild ride, and every show is a delight!
BOBCAT GOLDTHWAIT
Goldthwait is no stranger to entertainment and is one of the most recognizable comedians in show business today. Bobcat’s stand up features hilarious riffs on politics, divorce, and his career as a writer and director of film. His show is a wild ride of fun finding the funny no matter what the situation. Best known for his unforgettable movies that were huge in the 80’s, Bobcat has also starred in several HBO specials and a slew of television appearances too numerous to mention. Bob continues to push the envelope with his unique brand of humor.
